Nehama Schondorf, DPT


ABOUT

Dr. Nehama Schondorf is a physical therapist based in Atlanta, GA, specializing in complex chronic pain conditions, connective tissue disorders, and autonomic and vestibular dysfunction. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2009.


Nehama completed her Vestibular Rehabilitation Certification through Emory University and went on to found the Balance and Vestibular Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. She also taught the vestibular curriculum for the Medical College of Georgia’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.


Nehama further expanded her expertise with advanced certifications in Trigger Point Dry Needling, becoming a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) through Myopain Seminars in 2014, and earned her Clinical Orthopedic Manual Therapy Certification (COMT) in 2021.


As a recognized leader in her field, Nehama presented at the 2024 American Autonomic Society conference, sharing her insights on the management of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).  She is also a passionate educator, teaching local physical therapists about the complexities of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and POTS.


Nehama is dedicated to helping individuals with chronic and complex pain who have struggled to find relief through conventional treatments. She founded Northlake Physical Therapy to offer individualized, one-on-one care in a setting that fosters meaningful, lasting recovery. Her mission is to empower patients to take charge of their health and reclaim a pain-free, active life.


Outside of her work, Nehama enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, staying active through fitness, and exploring the outdoors.
